Every evening I splurge and meditate in the cleansing warm waterfall of my shower and I am so grateful for having this abundant luxury. I just recently went scuba diving in the Caribbean, humbled and reminded off the amazing colorful beauty and shapes of the underwater world.
Did you know, there is the same amount of water on Earth as there was when the Earth was formed. The water from our faucets may contain molecules that dinosaurs drank. Did you know water regulates the Earth’s temperature. It also regulates the temperature of the human body, carries nutrients and oxygen to cells, cushions joints, protects organs and tissues, and removes wastes. We can live about a month without food, but only about a week without water. We are almost 70% water. Water is sacred!!
We will not survive without water. We need to honor, save and protect our waters. Do you know about the Dakota Access Pipeline protest? – About 30 environmental groups, including the Sierra Club and Greenpeace, signed a letter to President Barack Obama, slamming the Dakota Access Pipeline as “yet another example of an oil pipeline project being permitted without public engagement or sufficient environmental review.” I pray for the conservation of our waters, for respect of our inner and surrounding environments.
I am honored to work and play every day with the water element – Water is life giving, cleansing, healing and nourishing. “We carry in our bodies the whole history of evolution. When we go to our most primitive movements, the aquatic, we are on our most creative level” – Harold Dull, founder of Watsu® (Water Shiatsu)
I hope to be swirling with YOU, in the warm healing waters of Watsu, sometimes soon… Namaste’ Ninaya
